Senior Congress leader and Ex. MLA Devsar Haji Mohammad Amin Bhat has expressed his anger over the what he called failure of the Governor administration in mitigating the sufferings f the people in the valley especially in Devsar constituencyu of Kulgam .
In a Press statement issued to SJK, Bhat said that the snow has not been cleared from most of the far flung villages of Kulgam and these villages are cut off from rest of the world.
” Patients have to be shifted to hospitals on foot ” Bhat said adding that there is acute shortage of essential commodities in these areas and no electric Supply is available to most of these areas since the first snowfall.
He said that thousands of people are stranded in Jammu since last one week but the Government is lest bothered about their sufferings and no steps are being taken to airlift the stranded passengers to Kashmir.
Senior Congress leader has asked the Governor Mr. Satya Pal Malik to arrange air sorties for the stranded passengers in Jammu and direct the administration to clear the snow from the roads , so that people of far flung areas have a sigh of relief as there is prediction of another snowfall from 05 February.
